Hello EUPA Community!
As we begin the fall season, I want to reflect on the past few months and our upcoming events and programming.
In winter, we ran our very popular Tuesday 5’s Hat League for adults, Tuesday youth league, our Thursday 4’s hat adult league, Friday youth league, and Friday 6’s adult hat league. We also built upon the success of the new split format for Capital Women’s League (CWL), with Compete and Training streams. Kudos to the coaches Tanya Beasley and Neilu Rishi, past President Mika Uusankki, and our Programming Committee for the dedicated hours spent making CWL fantastic! We also had plenty of excitement from our two winter 4’s tournaments, Frostbite and A4UC, that saw Alberta team NOMO compete at C4UC. A big thank you to our Tournaments Committee for all the hard work!
Our summer kicked off with the adult Tuesday 5’s spring league, Thursday 7’s league, and Tuesday youth league. We also saw the return of our Youth Spring Tournament in May, attended by EUPA youth players and local schools, with a Cannons inter-squad showcase game. Thank you to our Youth Committee for organizing and making it a great experience!
This summer, we also saw the return of the Canadian Ultimate Championships for Juniors and Seniors competition! What an incredible event showcasing the best Ultimate in Canada. Congratulations to all the Alberta teams that represented our province and city so well: Remix, Rumble, Whiskeyjacks, Cannons, Lit, and Silly Goose. A massive thank you to the Local Organizing Committee and every volunteer who made CUC such a success.
Lastly, we had a wonderful CUPS and Pre-Fall Brawl tournament with players from across Alberta and Saskatchewan over the Labour Day weekend. Thank you to everyone for attending and bringing the vibes!
Looking ahead, we have our Fall leagues for youth and adults, and then the Winter season! We couldn’t do it without the support of our Fields Committee booking the spaces year-round. In addition, we will have our Annual General Meeting in November, and we hope to see some new (and maybe old) faces join the EUPA Board!
Thank you to each and every EUPA member—whether you're playing in leagues and tournaments, volunteering as an ambassador, coaching youth, or serving on a committee. We are grateful for this community and cannot wait to see what 2026 brings!
See you on the fields!

P.S.
The EUPA x VC Ultimate apparel is scheduled to arrive in early October — we’re going to be the best-dressed sports league in Edmonton!
