Summer Youth Ultimate


Join the ultimate community in Edmonton for youth! Ages 10-17 - no previous experience required - everyone is welcome!

We will have two divisions - U14 (10-13) and U18 (14-17). *movement between divisions may occur due to skill evaluation.
New youth players are always welcome to our leagues. Our Indoor U18 team will be tailored towards players who are looking to advance their current skill and looking to join our competitive team in the spring.|
There is no previous experience required, everyone is welcome!

Thursday Spring League South - Kaskitayo Park

  • Who: This Youth league is targeted towards youth ages 10-17. This league will include the spring tournament.
  • When: Thursdays - May 9-June 27 - 7:00-8:30PM (8 weeks)
  • Where: Kaskitayo Park (1975 109 St NW, Edmonton)
  • Format:
    • Intentional instruction by EUPA Coaches
    • Scrimmages, drills, and Ultimate games
  • Cost: $86.00 + GST / player
    • avoid a $10 Stall 9 fee by registering on or before April 22
    • A valid 2024 General membership ($10) is required for participation in the league (included at checkout)

Wednesday Spring League North - Castle Downs Park

  • Who: This Youth league is targeted towards youth ages 10-17. This league will include the spring tournament.
  • When: Wednesdays - May 8-June 12 - 7:00-8:30PM (6 weeks)
  • Where: Castle Downs Park (11520 153 Ave NW, Edmonton)
  • Format:
    • Intentional instruction by EUPA Coaches
    • Scrimmages, drills, and Ultimate games
  • Cost: $64.50 + GST / player
    • Avoid a $10 Stall 9 fee by registering on or before April 22
    • A valid 2024 General membership ($10) is required for participation in the league (included at checkout)

Saturday Spring League - Aspen Gardens Park

  • Who: This Youth league is targeted towards youth ages 10-17. This league will include the spring tournament.
  • When: Saturdays - May 11-June 15 - 11:00-12:30pm (6 weeks)
  • Where: Aspen Gardens Park (12015 39a Ave NW, Edmonton)
  • Format:
    • Intentional instruction by EUPA Coaches
    • Scrimmages, drills, and Ultimate games
  • Cost: $64.50 + GST / player
    • Avoid a $10 Stall 9 fee by registering on or before April 26
    • A valid 2024 General membership ($10) is required for participation in the league (included at checkout)

 

2024 Edmonton Ultimate Juniors Club Program

This program is intended for players that possess a grasp of the basics of ultimate and/or possess the physical literacy/maturity (i.e. new players who have played other sports at a high level) to participate in the program.  Players will be assessed by coaching during the first weeks and if it is determined that they aren't ready to take this step, then they will either be transferred to the Thursday youth ultimate night or refunded their registration.

Option 1: Full Junior Program Team Option ($330/player + GST):

This Junior Club Team is targeted towards all youth who want to ‘train to play’/’train to compete’ on a team that will practice once a week and play in the Thursday Summer 7v7 Team League. It is intended for both players interested in playing competitive tournaments this season, as well as players interested in joining the practice roster and working towards playing in tournaments in the future.

  • Who: Youth ages ages 14-17. 
  • When: Tuesdays & Thursdays - 7:00pm-9:00pm - 7 May - August 29, 2024, 17 weeks
  • Where: Kaskitayo Park (1975 109 St NW, Edmonton)

 

What you get?

  • Tuesday Competitive Practice focused on advanced skills development (advanced throws, catching, footwork, decision making, etc.) and team dynamics development (team plays, team defense, team offense, decision making in game scenarios)
  • Thursday Summer 7v7 Team League
  • Reversible Jersey
  • Included entry to the Spring Hat Tournament ($25 value)
  • Team Functions

 

Option 2: Skills Development Program Option ($180/player + GST):

This is a lower commitment level for players looking just for skill development or those wanting to experience training with our Junior program athletes for 1 day a week.

  • Who: Youth ages ages 14-17. 
  • When: Tuesdays  - 7 May - August 29, 2024, 17 weeks
  • Where: Kaskitayo Park (1975 109 St NW, Edmonton)

What you get?

The ULTIMATE Youth Tournament is back for 2024!

What: Ultimate Tournament for all youths. This HAT tournament allows players to sign up as an individual or small group. Teams will be formed to be a mix of skill levels and experience so every team is closely matched. It’s a great way to meet new ultimate frisbee loving friends.

Who: This Spring Tournament is targeted towards youth ages 10-17 (elementary to high school ages).

When: June 1, 2024 - 10am-4pm
         Tournament to be rescheduled to June 2nd if weather delays games on June 1.

Where: Kaskitayo Park (1975 109 St NW, Edmonton)

Format:

  • Official USAU rules as per Ultimate Canada Standards; See “Appendix D: Youth Rules Adaptations” for recommended changes.
    • 2 divisions: U14 (Approximately Grades 5 - 9) & U18 (Approximately Grades 10-12). Exceptions can be made for skill/pods.
  • Format
    • U14 Division: Mixed 5 v 5; no gender ratios
    • U18 Division: Mixed 7 v 7; no gender ratios

What's Included?

  • At least 3 games
  • Field Food provided (free snacks for all players - its an ultimate thing)
  • Pizza Party!!!! Pizza lunch included with registration

Cost: $25 + GST/player

Registration Options: Individuals & Pods

  • Individual
    • You will be placed on a team with other youth
  • Pods:
    • During registration indicate your pod-mates
      • Pods of up to 5 players allowed in the Junior Division (player + [4] pod mates)
      • Pods of up to 7 players allowed in the Senior Division (player + [6] pod mates)
