News from Ultimate Canada

I am pleased to announce that our application to legally change the name of CUPA to Ultimate Canada has just been approved by Industry Canada. In order to acknowledge this change, we are looking to develop a new logo for the organization. We have posted a RFP on our website (http://canadianultimate.com) and would appreciate it if you could promote the opportunity and encourage graphic designers in your community to consider sending in a proposal.

Summer League 2010 design competition

It could be your claim to fame! Enter the EUPA design competition to have your logo printed on discs this summer! You could win free individual registration to summer / winter league 2010 or $50 cash.

2 colour design
must include "EUPA 2010" or "Edmonton Ultimate Players Association 2010"
lines must be at least 1/32" (1mm / 2 points) thick
text should be sans-serif
image should be high resolution, at least 300 dpi
acceptable file formats: Photoshop, Illustrator, EPS, TIFF, PDF, BMP

Winter League starts this week

Monday and Thursday night teams and schedules are posted on the winter league page. EUPA reps will have discs for sale on league nights so track them down if you would like one.

New board members

Thanks to everyone that came out to our Annual General Meeting! Our leagues and programs are run solely by hardworking volunteers that very much appreciate getting feedback from the community. The newest members of the board are Danielle Enns, James West, Nelson Leong and returning member, Mark Zacharias. Be sure to pat them on the back if you see them around!

Congratulations Psychoplastique!

Edmonton's competitive co-ed touring team, Psychoplastique, has worked really hard this year and has made it through sectionals and regionals to qualify for UPA nationals in Florida! They will be playing against the cream of the crop in North America at the end of the month. Congrats and good luck!
