LOOKING FOR PARTICIPANTS AND VOLUNTEERS!!!!
The City Chase is a unique urban adventure that requires participants to exhibit teamwork, resourcefulness, determination and the ability to make decisions on the fly as they search for ChasePoints scattered in unknown locations throughout the city. ChasePoints are designed to test teams with a variety of physical, mental, and otherwise adventurous challenges.
To conquer this 4-6 hour urban event, 2-person teams will run, walk and use public transit to navigate their way throughout the city, while calling family and friends for help, accessing the Internet, and even employing assistance of total strangers. The first team to complete the required ChasePoints and cross the finish line WINS.
Prizes for the event consist of;
1st place is a trip to Nationals and a chance at winning a car!
Other Prizes will be donated from Blackberry, Running Room and Crocs. A gift certificate for $500 from Dream Travel (group tours for national marathons) was also donated as one of this years prizes.
The winning team from each event will be invited to compete in The Canadian Championship which will be held in a secret location. Ultimately one team from each country will then be invited to participate in The 2008 City Chase World Championship, which were held in Rome, Italy last year.
This years event is taking place on Saturday May 24th from 10 AM - 4 PM, and event day registration starting at 8 AM. Teams of 2 are required and cost per team is $150.00. If anyone is interested in an office challenge and can register more than 9 teams, a registration discount will be provided.
